How to quickly clean gutters and sewers?
Sink and downspout are one of the simpler and more reliable drainage systems, they work only by gravity and will hardly wear out. When they fail, the reason is the same, probably 99% of the time, that we fail to clean them up. Aside from immediate damage, the only system failures they suffered were improper slopes, sinking gutters and not sloping downpipes.
So, the best way to keep your gutters working is to get up and clean them, at least a few times a year. Even if you install screens or other devices to keep debris out of your gutters, you'll want to check them regularly to make sure they're not clogged. Unless cleaned, roof gutters can become clogged with debris, preventing them from functioning properly.
For a single-level drainage system, the best ladder for cleaning the sink is a tall ladder. This provides a good range of motion without compromising stability and is generally easier to move than a telescopic ladder. For a multi-level drainage system, you will need a telescopic ladder. In this case, make sure the feet of the ladder are on firm, level ground or use a brick to level the feet, and the ladder is sloped toward the house at a 75-degree angle.
You should be able to reach the gutters without standing on the top rung of the ladder, be sure to wear heavy work gloves to clean the gutters. There are lots of sharp metal edges and viciously pointed sheet metal screws hidden behind all the junk. If you are using a hose for any spraying, especially with a gutter cleaning stick, you may need to wear safety glasses.
